My journey into the skincare industry began in 1996, after my first maternity leave, when I decided to specialize in aesthetic medicine. At that time, our tools and options were extremely limited — there were no lasers, no injectables, only the earliest chemical peels and traditional plant-based skincare products. Despite these limitations, I was passionate about chemistry and quickly found myself collaborating with skincare brands, adapting and modernizing their treatment protocols. My work led to invitations to join several research and development (R&D) teams, where I discovered my love for creating treatments, developing new formulas, testing products in my French clinic, and educating skin therapists.
By the early 2000s, I had trained therapists in over 40 countries — from France and Switzerland to Taiwan and Japan. Through these experiences, I had countless conversations with practitioners and visited clinics and salons worldwide. What I discovered was that we all faced the same challenges in our practices: a reliance on traditional approaches to skincare that were inefficient, overly complicated, and often unsustainable.One day in my clinic, I counted over 100 jars and bottles on my working table — products I used for various treatments. With three beauty rooms in my clinic, this meant maintaining a stock of over 300 products for professional use. Managing this inventory was not only expensive but also nearly impossible to organize effectively. Everywhere I went, practitioners shared similar frustrations: exorbitant investments in professional product stock, complicated stock management, short shelf lives, overly complex training requirements, unpredictable results, and inconsistent treatment performance.
When I launched the Meder brand, I set out to change all of this by creating professional treatments that adhered to medical standards rather than cosmetic ones. Meder treatments are designed to be foolproof: ready-to-use and pre-dosed in single-dose recyclable packaging created according to pharmaceutical standards. There’s no need to fill your clinic with countless jars and bottles — we provide clean sets of treatments using the same principles as surgical kits.
