Eu-Seb At-home Facial
A new approach to acne therapy
In 2013 Meder Beauty Science Lab was the first to use prebiotics in professional skincare to restore facial microflora and treat acne. The key active ingredient of the professional program was a new ingredient, biotechnological substrate alpha-glucan-oligosacсharide (BioEcolia®), a perfect nutritional medium for the growth of beneficial ecoflora. BioEcolia® is also toxic for the pathogenic bacteria, destroying the microbial wall of Propionibacterium acnes. BioEcolia® is technically a galacto-oligosaccharide, or alpha-glucan-oligosaccharide, derived from natural sugars (maltose and saccharose) by a patented fermentation process.
It is a key active ingredient of Meder Beauty’s anti-acne concentrate Eu-Seb, used in the professional acne treatment and offered in the home care range.

Microbiome-friendly ingredient: alpha-glucan oligosaccharide (BioEcolia®) is a powerful prebiotic, a perfect substrate for healthy microflora and a toxin for pathogenic bacteria. It helps clear the skin and restore its normal barrier functions, reducing and after a few weeks stopping entirely all inflammatory processes. BioEcolia® has a prophylactic effect as well, suppressing the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and stabilising the healthy skin flora.

- Hyaluronic acid’s low-molecular and middle-molecular weight fragments are enclosed in reservoirs inside dendrimers, fractal polymers. These dendrimers are 3D tree-like structures, close to the skin’s own linear and long chained molecules, in particular mucopolysaccharides. Dendrimers consist of the series of chemical shells, built around small nuclear molecules. As dendrimers soak into the dermis, the cell nucleus is replaced by guest molecules (fragments of hyaluronic acid) that they release. The size and shape of these molecules can be regulated very precisely, and dendrimers remain stable for a long period of time, which is crucial for their role of nanoparticles’ carriers. After Derma-Fill Cream is applied onto the skin, the release of hyaluronic acid from the dendrimers continues for 10 to 12 hours (!) filling the skin with hyaluronic acid layer by layer and ensuring deep moisturising by attracting water molecules.
Salva-Derm Cream
Protects and moisturises the skin reducing its reactivity to all harmful factors.
Microbiome-friendly ingredient: prebiotic complex Aquaxyl deeply moisturises the skin and increases natural hyaluronic acid synthesis. Like all prebiotics, Aquaxyl helps normalise microbiome restoring its diversity and eliminating microorganisms that cause skin flakiness.

- Panthenol or vitamin B5 helps the skin heal and gives effective protection against UV and other external damage.

- Avocutin reduces sebum production by 30% in the first few weeks of use, reduces inflammation, tightens pores and improves the complexion.
- Agarikon extract (Fomes officinalis) conquers severe and chronic acne, suppresses the growth of even antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Agarikon extract can affect the structures of parasympatic nervous system in the skin. When the skin is oily, almost inevitably pores are widened due to the manifestations of specific vasoneurosis, which keeps the skin’s systems and capillaries in a state very similar to deep sleep. Agarikon ‘awakens’ the skin restoring healthy microcirculation and drainage, firms up the skin, tightens pores and smoothes out the skin surface eliminating the characteristic spongy look.
